Alyssa Lie is a multi-hyphenate performing artist born and raised in Singapore. As a young girl growing up, she performed regularly in the church choir, and her love for music eventually led her to pursue a degree in Musical Theatre at LASALLE College of the Arts under the tutelage of renowned Australian theatre director, Tony Knight (NIDA).
Wanting to challenge herself further, she participated in various talent competitions, winning 1st Place in Singapore's Got Talent (Open) and was a Finalist in the Chinese singing competition 华谊 Icon Search 新星盛典.
As an artist, she has performed at the Esplanade concourse for Red Dot August, Soundtracks, and Voices, and together with her accompanist was the resident live acoustic duo at W Singapore, Wala Wala, and Le Noir at MBS, amongst others.
Her bubbly and effervescent personality landed her lead and supporting roles in children’s theatre productions such as Chicken Little (SRT), Fatimah and Her Magic Socks (PLAYtjme!) and The Gingerbread Man (SRT) as well as ensemble roles in Detention Katong (Dream Academy) and Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress (SRT).
On television, she has starred in Mind Jumper (Channel 8), Kin (Channel 5) as well as the web-series for Tanglin (meWATCH) and has also appeared in numerous commercials with HSBC Premier, the Health Promotion Board, the Singapore Tourism Board, and more.
With a hidden knack for accents, she was selected to be the voice of Chats for the Hi-5 Live! mall shows in Singapore and Jakarta, for which she had to perform with an Australian accent and was the only non-Australian member of the cast.
Currently, she is working towards the release of her 3rd single, “Mend (Summer)” which will be out in March 2021, and preparing for her Self-Titled Concert at the Esplanade on 13 May 2021.
With her infectious energy and zest for life, she hopes to inspire others to follow their passion with tenacity, like she does every single day!
